I've increased my running a lot in the past month and decided it would be a good idea to take a break before a few aches and pains turned into serious problems. I was planning to take next week off for other reasons anyways so I just extended it into a two week break from running. Today I went swimming instead of my usual run. Apparently being able to run for miles with no problems doesn't translate well into swimming. I swam about 1/4 mile (with breaks) and afterward I wished I were dead. I think I'm going to need to work some swimming into my regular routine instead of one of my runs.
